Passing the Torch

After six years of building RiseUP from an idea into an organization that has impacted thousands of young people, Sandy Pricer is retiring from the organization she founded and led. Effective August 31, 2026.

What began with one family’s experience raising six children—including adopting three siblings through foster care—grew into a mission to help teens and young adults develop the practical life and leadership skills they need to thrive.

 

As Sandy passes the torch to new leadership, the mission she helped build continues. RiseUP enters its next chapter on a strong foundation of dedicated volunteers, community partners, donors, and supporters who believe in preparing young people for tomorrow.

Sandy and Joe's legacy will live on in every young person who discovers their confidence, learns a skill they will carry into adulthood, steps into leadership, or realizes they are capable of more than they thought.

The founder’s chapter may be closing, but the mission continues - just as strong and dedicated as ever.
